Last Night I contemplated suicide
That could be the answer
I would give up all the rights
Of a sad life
Release my self from pain, suffering,
Worry and turmoil.
No longer would this poor excuse for me
Have to tolerate the make do,
The put up with,
the "I just can't"
All I would have to do
Is stop my heart beating,
My brain thinking,
My body breathing.
All I would have to do
Is leave behind
Family, a few friends,
Loads of enemies
And a few casual aquaintances
To pick up where I left off.
The pain,
The Suffering,
The wondering "why?"
A few might even say "Isn't it sad?"
A lot would probably reply,
"You want an honest answer?"

Well, for not a long time
But within that time
You did what you were supposed to
You did not know what or why
But you did do it
We miss you
Your sister misses you
But we have a special gift from you
You gave youself
No one can replace that special little something
Only you had that
You were unique
Good Night, God bless Amy
You have made all the difference
We cannot forget your little part of the world
Because we still have it
All our days
We will not forget
What a special little pal
Sleep tight
We love you

Dearest Dilly
Further to our recent conversation
I am compelled to come clean
In the case of Lavender
It is neither blue nor green
Specifically the foliage
Is more metallic grey
And the flowers not blue
More towards the violet end of indigo
My apologies for misleading you
But I have to tell you everything
I have completed the research
Into the family tree
I can now guarantee that
On examination, I shall never
In my lifetime
Reach peerage or monarchy
I am afraid that
Even continuing in the matrimony
And legal marriage angle
Neither will you

My dad's bigger than your dad
Somehow that means superiority
When you're just a child
Dad's your best shot
Oh I got a new bike for my birthday
I got 6 Playstation Games
And a bike
Well my Dads Bigger than your dad
I'm going to Disneyworld for holidays
Well I've already been - Twice!
We might move in there
Well my Dad's bigger than your dad
Kids - (says Dad with a chuckle)
They'll get you hung! (Ha Ha)
Nice motor, new is it?
I wish Dad was here.

Tonight will be just like all the others
As far back as I care to try and remember
Although that is quite a way.
Still with such a repoetitive string
I only need to tell you one.
Between seven and nine, (p.m. that is)
Nothing on the telly
Between nine and eleven thirty
Nothing
I go to bed
Convinced that tonight's the night!
And not what you're thinking
To touch my ear to the pillow
And greet the sandman, Hi Sandy!
No chance
Twelve midnight, drifters on a wind of whiskey fumes
Twenty past, young man argues with girl.
I hate you! Don't come near me again!
Not ever!
('til tommorrow, she thought)
Car alarms, Police sirens,
Dogs, cats, rain, wind,
Milk bottles - milk floats?
Electric Hum?
Ah yes, five A.M., Up you get.
Clouds can change in size and shape
Change in colour, change with time
Change to suit the wind and weather
In strong, high winds they are thin and pale
Like starving men in famine and drought
In a nice calm breeze they turn to bulky, furry bales
Like fresh cut wool off a sheep's back
If clouds are grey it gives the sign
of forthcoming rain from the skies
A beautiful sight it is
to see rain on the petals of roses
that have flourished into colours so bright.
I have seen clouds like waves
Turning to surf on golden beaches
Like strands of wool strewn over the sky
The perfection of the decor
is a picture in itself.
With the packs of white fluff
And azure as the background

As I sit here thinking
And hear the clock ticking
It brings me to wonder
What makes a clock tick?
Is it the hands are too close together?
Or is it a small man applying a hammer?
To set the wheels right
Whatever the reason
I hear the clock ticking
WATCH OUT!
It ticks your life away.

Shining sun and happy children
Morning dew will dampen grass
And give an aristocratic look to the worst weed
But looks are changed and changed a lot
Autumn comes and brings the mist
Reds and browns in perfect set
Yellow and orange packed in picture
Red sun rays to cast a shadow
Completes the picture of Summer to Autumn.
Tony Lowe 1974
Flowers blooming everywhere,
birds are singing in the air.
Clear blue sky and shining sun,
little children having fun.
Colours set in random pattern,
The use of nature God hath given.
The Folly standing at the back,
Gallant as castle, not as shack.
Fruits of the earth as given to us,
Strike all beauty, show no fuss.

Autumn comes and so does wind
To change the trees for better or worse
And put birds and animals all around
Storing food in nests and dens
The food for their needing
In winters hard and cold times
How artful and skilful nature produces
A pattern for all to see and enjoy
Before ice and colds in force from Winter come.
